How to Apply
Walk through it with us.
Admissions at Fayerweather is built around real conversation. Over the course of the fall and winter, we'll meet your family, you'll see our classrooms in session, and your child will spend time with our teachers. By the spring, we've both learned enough to make a real decision.
Inquire
Fill out the inquiry form. Once submitted, you'll have access to our application portal, where everything else takes place.
Visit and Interview
Tours let you see the school in session and are strongly encouraged. Caregiver interviews with Karina Davis, our Director of Enrollment Management & Admission, are required. Both run Monday through Friday and are scheduled through the portal.
Submit the Application
The online application opens in September and includes a parent/guardian statement and, for applicants with school history, teacher recommendations and transcripts. The fee is $50; waivers are available — just ask. All materials are due January 30.
If you're applying for tuition assistance, the Clarity Application is also due January 30. Details on our Tuition & Tuition Aid page.
Child Visit
Your child spends time at school so our teachers can get to know them. PreK through first grade is a small-group session built around play. Grades 2–8 include classroom time and a short academic assessment; applicants to grades 6, 7, and 8 also complete a writing prompt. We do not require standardized testing such as the SSAT or ISEE. Visit dates are confirmed by mid-January
Decisions and Enrollment
Decision letters go out March 10; tuition assistance awards are emailed the same day. Enrollment contracts and aid acceptance are due April 10.
